Stroll the cobbled streets or volcanic craters, meander through ruins or stretch out on the groomed white sand beaches overlooking turquoise waters. Even the largest city, Adamantas, with two museums and a multitude of boutique hotels, remains largely free from the crowds of the other Greek islands. In addition, a stay on the island is very cheap and you can enjoy the large amounts of Greek food and sunny drinks.
Location: During the summer several boats sail daily from Piraeus (near Athens) to Milos in about 7 hours. Milos is also accessible via other Cyclades islands such as from Santorini. Milos Airport is only used for domestic flights. From Athens you fly to the island in about 25 minutes.

Also in the middle of the Cyclades is the island of Paros, a tropical island in Europe known for its phenomenal beaches and cute Cycladic villages with snow-white houses. Parikia, the main harbor has winding streets, while the small fishing harbor at Naoussa is one of the most charming spots in the Cyclades.
The beaches on this sunny island are almost too good for words, shallow waters in shades ranging from turquoise to royal blue.
