Greece is and will be one of the Danes’ favorite travel destinations, but with countless islands to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to go.
That’s why we’ve created this mini-guide to summer’s favorites – so it’ll be easier to plan your holiday

For the little ones – and the parents!

West Crete : Crete is often the summer’s most popular destination. Greece’s largest island offers something for everyone, regardless of age and preferences.
However, Western Crete is and remains the favorite of families with children, and we understand why; In Platanias, Agia Marina and Agii Apostoli you will find a holiday paradise among beautiful bathing bays, shallow beaches and many wonderful family hotels. No matter where you choose to live in Crete, you will probably have a successful family holiday.

Rhodes:  The Danes have long since cast their love on Rhodes – and especially the families. We understand that the island is one of the favourites, with the beautiful beaches that invite you to relaxing days in the sun, the unique monuments from ancient times and the wide range of activities.
On the east coast, there are several good resorts for families with children, such as Afandou and Kolymbia with Rhodes’ longest sandy beach and one of the area’s most popular family hotels: Mythos Beach Resort .

Kos:  No – Kos is not just an island for the young! In the quiet and peaceful little town of Psalidi , east of Kos town, is one of the island’s best family hotels, Kipriotis Maris , with a kids’ club, swimming club and good exercise opportunities – perfect for any family holiday! Also Kardamena, with the island’s longest beach, is designed for those traveling with children. Three out of four hotels in Kos are All Inclusive, and all are family-friendly.

For the adults – and in love!

Santorini: Santorini is definitely on your bucket list, even if you’ve never been there. The whitewashed houses, the blue roofs, the breathtaking view and the most beautiful sunsets in the world – it doesn’t get much better than here on Santorini! It is the perfect place to cultivate love and each other.

Parga:  Welcome to the definition of romantic small town idyll. Parga is situated like a picturesque amphitheater around the harbour, and in the evening there is a completely unique atmosphere with the cozy lighting of the many taverns, the smell of the barbecue, the sound of laughing Greeks and the sight of couples walking hand in hand in the evening breeze. You are always welcome in Parga – and once you visit this city, you will find it difficult to leave it again.

Naxos : Naxos is a bathing paradise without the massive tourism that is known from some destinations. Here there is plenty of space along the golden beaches as well as many bathing bays that you can choose from for those who want a little more privacy – and “private” is the key word when you travel as a couple and want a romantic holiday.
However, if you want to increase the pace a little, Naxos also offers many activities and excursions – and what’s better for the relationship than a little adrenaline?

Other Greek destinations for adults and couples:  Karpathos  and  Skiathos .

For the young – and lively!

Zakynthos:  Zakynthos , or Zante as it is also called, is the southernmost of the Ionian Islands on the west coast of the Peloponnese. The famous island offers something for everyone, but for young people who want a holiday with a party, Argassi and Laganas are recommended. Both resorts are tourist spots with an international
atmosphere and a festive city life in high season. Laganas in particular is known for its party atmosphere with a lot of discos and bars to choose from.

Hersonisoss:  Hersonisoss  in Eastern Crete has long been Greece’s most popular holiday destination for young people, and we understand that: the harbor area tempts with good restaurants, shops, bars and a festive nightlife! At the same time, Hersonissos offers several different types of beaches: to the west of the harbor are white stone beaches that are good for snorkelling, to the east is the Star Beach Waterpark and the fine-grained sandy beach with the area’s largest selection of water sports.
